Celebrities gist: Popular magician dies from Coronavirus

According to Metro UK, the 75-year-old legendary Las Vegas magician by name Roy Horn died at Mountain View Hospital from coronavirus complications.

Siegfried Fischbacher issued a statement reading: Today, the world has lost one of the greats of magic, but I have lost my best friend. From the moment we met, I knew Roy and I, together, would change the world. There could be no Siegfried without Roy, and no Roy without Siegfried.

Roy was a fighter his whole life, including during these final days. I give my heartfelt appreciation to the team of doctors, nurses and staff at Mountain View Hospital who worked heroically against this insidious virus that ultimately took Roy’s life.

Horn was screened positive for coronavirus on 28 April but
was ‘responding well to treatment’.

Horn and Fischbacher started their very famous Las Vegas series at the Mirage in 1990, where they performed intricate tricks alongside animals, including their beloved tigers.

However, in October 2003, the tragedy struck when the 600 lb Bengal tiger Mantecore assaulted and grinded Horn during a live performance.

The attack severed his spine, caused considerable blood loss, leaving Horn partially paralyzed.
