Local: Defence Headquarters reveals Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD) neutralizes terrorists in Yobe

Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche, in a statement said the Air Task Force of
Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD) on Monday neutralized scores of Boko Haram
terrorists on the outskirts of Dapchi Town in Yobe and also destroyed two
terrorists’ gun trucks in the attack.
Enenche said the air mission was
carried out after an attack by the terrorists in around five vehicles in the
town of Dapchi.
According to him, the Helicopter
Gunship scrambled to engage the attackers, scored direct hits on their
aircraft, disabled two of them, and killed the perpetrators.
Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, Chief of
Air Staff, directed them to remain resolute towards eradicating the terrorists
from the North East, and finally commended the Air Task Force for their
professionalism.
