Local: Residents ignore social distance to drink alcohol after truck conveying beer dropped in Anambra

Ekwulobia residents ignore social distancing by carting away bottles of drinks after a truck conveying crates of beer fell on the roadside. The accident was confirmed to have taken place on Friday when the truck was on its way to an undisclosed drink destination.

As they make away with the bottle of drinks, the place became crowded without regard to the Government's Social Remote Directive aimed at combating the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Developments are taking place at around the same time as there is growing alarm about increasing cases of novel disease in the world.

So far, Nigeria has 3,912 cases of the virus with 117 deaths recorded while 679 patients have been discharged after treatment.
