Politics gist: Northern governors respond to Gambari’s appointment
The Northern
Governors' Forum (NGF) described Ibrahim Gambari as an accomplished diplomat
and administrator as well congratulated him on his nomination as Chief of Staff
to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Their response
was conveyed in a statement by the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of
Plateau, Simon Lalong, on Wednesday. They said that his extensive expertise and
credentials would allow him to perform his duties faithfully.
The professor
comes to work with a wealth of expertise and information on governance and operation,
which we believe will allow him to succeed.
As governors
of the North, we assure him of our support and prayers as he plays this very
important role, "said Lalong.
