The Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, in a statement in Abuja on Thursday confirmed that the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has ordered the immediate posting/redeployment of new Commissioners of Police to some Commands.

Frank Mba further disclosed that the new commissioners were posted to various states ranging from Osun, Edo, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Gombe, Ondo and Oyo States.

Also, the Eastern Port, EOD, Airport Command as well as Anti-Fraud Unit (FCID Annex Lagos) also got new Commissioners.

The statement to this effect noted that; The Inspector General of Police charges the newly posted officers with ensuring that they maintain and advance the achievements of their predecessors, especially in implementing community policing, crime prevention, public health , public health, and the battle against general crime.

Furthermore, the Inspector General of Police urged the citizens of the affected states to cooperate with the Commissioners of Police to enable them succeed in their new areas of responsibilities.
