COVID-19: The Nigerian government updates the reopening of the airport and raises ticket prices
The Federal Government has confirmed
that a simulation trial of domestic flights will take place this Saturday at
Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos.
This is in the process of re-opening
the country's airspace for commercial flights.
Aviation minister Hadi Sirika stated
this on Monday at the Presidential Task Force's daily briefing on COVID-19 in
Abuja.
Sirika assured Nigerians that because
of the plan to implement the social distancing rule onboard, ticket prices
would not skyrocket as speculated by many.
We met with industry stakeholders to
find out how to best open up the industry.
