COVID-19: After UK trip, Armenian President tests positive - Armen Sarkissian

Armen Sarkissian, the Armenian president, tested positive for COVID-19.  Xinhua notes that the announcement was made on Tuesday by his office. 


On a New Year holiday with his family, Sarkissian had visited London.  He underwent leg surgery and on Sunday displayed signs of coronavirus. The positive status was confirmed by the results of his test. 


For now, the President can operate remotely. In Armenia, COVID-19 cases crossed 160, 544 on Tuesday, with 2,878 deaths.
