Crime Updates: 20-year-old dragged to court over N109, 950 beer debt - getview Updates
Sesan Adeya, a 20-year-old man, has been arraigned before the Ile-Ife Magistrates' Court for allegedly purchasing and refusing to pay for beverages and beer worth N109, 950.
According to Getview Updates, The accused individual committed the crime at the "DE-TREASURE" Hotel in Mayfair in Ile-Ife on December 23, 2020 at around 4 pm.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the accused individual fraudulently received Adewoyin Adekunle's assorted drinks and beer worth N109, 950.
He also claimed that the accused individual had criminally damaged the hotel railing system, worth N50,000.

Parts 383, 390(1), 419 and 460 of the Criminal Code, Osun Rules, 2002, is in contravention of the offence committed. However, the convicted party pleaded not guilty to the three-count charges of criminal injury, fraud and theft.
Leke Dada, the defense attorney, advised the court to grant his client bail on the most liberal terms.
The accused individual was admitted to bail by Magistrate Adedotun Ayeni in the amount of N100,000 with two sureties in the same amount. Ayeni ordered that guarantors could swear to an affidavit of means. The case was adjourned for a hearing until February 4, 2021.
