YouTube suspends Donald Trump’s channel
US President Donald Trump's YouTube channel has been suspended for at least a week.
In a tweet, the video-sharing platform made this public, clarifying that a video posted to President Trump's channel breached the policy of the site against encouraging abuse.
As a result, for a minimum of seven days, Youtube removed Trump's right to post content on the website.
Nevertheless, YouTube did not provide any specifics of the Trump channel video that broke its policies and led to the "first strike."
But five out of six videos posted on Tuesday to the channel were footage from the far-right One America News (OAN) network at an appearance in Alamo, Texas, with Trump's remarks.
Part of the statement read: “After a review, and in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence, we removed new content uploaded to Donald J. Trump’s channel for violating our policies.
“The content now has its first strike and is temporarily prevented from uploading new content for a minimum of 7 days.”

On President Trump's channel, Youtube also disabled comments.
According to the "three strikes" rules from YouTube, once a channel gets a second strike within 90 days, it is suspended for two weeks, a third strike results in a permanent suspension.
The step by YouTube comes after Trump was indefinitely barred from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other websites following a riot at the US Capitol on Friday.
