EPL: Spurs chairman determined to hold on to Kane for one more season as Guardiola set to switch Man City target from Harry Kane to Lewandowski
According to SportsMail, Manchester City are monitoring the contract situation of Robert Lewandowski.
Pep Guardiola is looking to replace Sergio Aguero, who left as a free agent, with a top centre forward this summer.
Lewandowski's current £300,000-per-week contract with Bayern Munich has two years left on it.
City's top target is Tottenham's Harry Kane, for whom they made a £100 million offer before the start of Euro 2020.
But Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy, is determined to hold on to Kane for at least one more season, forcing City to consider alternatives.
Lewandowski, 32, played under Guardiola at Bayern from 2014-2016, winning two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup.
Real Madrid has long been interested in Lewandowski, and his agent, Pini Zahavi, recently facilitated the transfer of David Alaba from Bayern Munich to the Bernabeu.
