Nigeria Northeast has been bedeviled by terrorism for 12 years with various groups springing up.
The Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP), a splinter of Boko Haram, is growing in power and influence.
However, United Arab Emirates has listed six Nigerians as terrorist financiers, including Boko Haram and other criminal acts.
According to Agency Report, the decision was decided when the Emirate federal cabinet met in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
The six Nigerians on the list of those financing Boko Haram and other global terrosim are Abdurrahaman Ado Musa, Salihu Yusuf Adamu, Bashir Ali Yusuf, Muhammed Ibrahim Isa, Ibrahim Ali Alhassan and Surajo Abubakar Muhammad.
The 38 names on the list are mostly Arabs from the Middle East. Also on the list are 15 corporate sponsors of terrorism.
For the past 12 years, Nigeria's northeast has been ravaged by terrorism, with many groups sprouting up, the most notable of which is Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP).
Many students have been kidnapped from schools for ransom, and many of the region's roadways are filled with kidnappers carrying guns.
Despite widespread criticism, the administration has chosen to refer to the criminals in the North West as "bandits."
