Local: A 29 Years old Man In Anambra was arrested by NSCDC for defrauding German lover of €10,000

Chigozie Ndubusi Kizzito who is from anambra state was arrested by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps Anambra State Command, NSCDC, for allegedly defrauding a German citizen, Ms Oyeleke Patricia Magdalena, in the sum of €10,000.

Smart Updates post gathered that the 29-year-old Kizzito met the German lady at the dating site, and then she fell in love with him and started to spend money on him.

The NSCDC representative in Anambra, ASC Edwin Okadigbo, who confirmed this in a press statement in Awka, said the perpetrator was responsible for the murder.

Okadigbo said that the defendant had been charged, "Recall On 29/4/2020 at approximately 1:00 p.m., following a petition by Barrister Jideofor Chinwuba Esq on behalf of his client, Ms Oyeleke Patricia Magdalena 'F, a German, on suspected internet fraud.

“NSCDC operatives through surveillance arrested one Chigozie Ndubusi Kizzito ‘m’ aged 29years from Ndibeokwu Mmuo in Ndi Ejezie Kindred, Arondizuogu in Ideato North LGA of Imo State.

“Preliminary investigations, however, reveal that the suspect allegedly met the victim in August 2019 on a dating site, where a supposed relationship was consummated and from November 2019 till March 2020 defrauded the victim of 10,000 Euros.

“Suspect has equally made a voluntary confessional statement to the NSCDC.”

He added that NSCDC authorities were able to locate documents revealing that he extorted German.

Some of the items were retrieved in order to include; the bank account records of the money charged to him by the attacker, and a copy of the letter supposedly submitted to the German Embassy denouncing his failure to give a visa to the embassy.

Okadigbo said, “Case is under investigation after which the suspect would be handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for further investigation and prosecution.”
