Latest News: Between Obaseki and Ize-Iyamu: PDP warns APC - Edo is not Oshiomhole’s personal property

The People's Democratic Party, PDP, has declared that Edo State is not personal property of Adams Oshiomhole.

Dan Orbih, the national vice president of the PDP (South-South), made the statement while warning the former national president of the All Progressive Congress, APC, against his vow to reclaim the state.

The state PDP campaign council chairman spoke yesterday in Benin City, capital of the Edo state.

Orbih said the state's people will not allow Oshiomhole and his party to trick them out again.

However, Orbih boasted that the upcoming election would result in the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, emerging winner.

According to Orbih: "There must be a halt to those at the forefront in the campaign to take back the state. Adams Oshiomhole doesn't own this state.

"The Ize-Iyamu apologized in 2016 for having made Adams Oshiomhole governor. By 2020 it's Adams Oshiomhole 's turn. Edo folks are too sophisticated politically to be fooled.

"This is no easy agenda! In 2016, Edo people rejected the simple agenda, and will do so again in 2020. Let the people decide for themselves. We trust not in Adams but in God and will win again with the support of the people Governor Godwin Obaseki, "he said.

People of Edo State will file for the next four years, on September 19, to fulfill their civic responsibility of deciding who will govern them.

The leading contender is the incumbent governor, PDP Godwin Obaseki and Ize-Iyamu, ahead of the governorship election.
