PDP shows Buhari and Akpabio steps to take over allegations of fraud in the country - NDDC

The People's Democratic Party, the PDP, has called on Godswill Akapbio, Niger Delta Minister for Affairs, to withdraw from the allegations of fraud and corrupt practices that rock the Niger Delta Development Commission.

PDP stated that Akapbio should to stand down to investigate the allegations against him.

Remember that Nunieh accused Akpabio of corruption and sexual harassment. Meanwhile, Akpabio fired back saying that the NDDC MD had sacked problems with its character.

However, Kola Ologbondiyan, the national publicity secretary of the PDP, urged the presidency to react to the latest allegation of corrupt practices rocking the NDDC.

Ologbondiyan said the presidency should take immediate steps to investigate the alleged NDDC fraud.

Ologbondiyan's statement said those found guilty of NDDC fraud should be brought to justice.

Ologbondiyan said; The PDP believes that any credible administration such as that of the APC and the Buhari presidency would want Nigerians to believe that it is running, would have spoken out and begun an immediate investigation into the matter if its officials are not complicit.

The PDP charges the Buhari Presidency with speaking out on the matter, especially given the delicate nature of the Niger Delta, and taking steps to investigate and prosecute all those involved in the alleged fraud.

He has also called on Niger Delta Affairs Minister Godswill Akpabio to step aside because of the allegations against him.

He concluded, that PDP are demanding that Senator Akpabio stand down and submit himself for investigation into these heavy allegations.
