What APC caretaker committee said on 2023 presidential ticket - Tinubu-Dogara
The Chairman of the All Progressive
Congress (APC) Caretaker / Extraordinary Convention Committee, Mai Mala Buni,
dismissed as pure rumour the proposed 2023 presidential ticket from the
National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and former Speaker, Yakubu
Dogara.
While talking to Hausa news source on
Thursday, Buni confirmed this.
When asked if Dogara joined the party
to challenge Tinubu / Dogara for a Muslim / Christian ticket, the Yobe state
governor replied: "These are pure rumors and rumors aspire for democracy.
That, for now, is not even our concern.
"It's not even appropriate to
start dreaming about 2023 when we have a President-in-Office.
"At the time Dogara joined us
(APC) people were surprised. And we are going to keep springing surprises.
People speak in democracy but now 2023 is not even our priority. We are trying
to keep the party together.
