June 12th Protest: Police, DSS clash with protesters in Abuja
Some Nigerian youths clashed with security personnel at the Gudu crossroads in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja on Saturday morning to protest the country's deteriorating insecurity.
Recall that several groups and activists had vowed to stage protest in all parts of the country as Nigeria celebrates Democracy Day.
Following the plan, some protesters early hours of Saturday, blocked roads in the area to decry the current state of the nation.
According to reports, police officers used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.

Confirming the incident, Abuja-based rights activist, Comrade Deji Adeyanju said the attack was carried out by the Police and DSS.
He tweeted, “We have just been attacked by the police and SSS in Abuja as expected. #June12thProtest.”
However, small group of people wearing branded T-shirts with the slogan "I Stand With Buhari" had gathered near the fountain in Millennium Park.
