Tragic incident, 34-year-old gym instructor shot dead in his room for allegedly sleeping with a married woman

A tragic incident occurred in the wee hours of Thursday July 22, as a 34-year-old gym instructor popularly known as ‘Little’ was shot dead in his room at Tantra Hill in Accra.

An eyewitness told UTV that the gym instructor is suspected to have been killed because of his alleged affair with another man’s wife. It was alleged that he was shot dead by unknown men who arrived at the house between 2am to 3am. 

It was further reported that people who know him, were heard whispering that they warned him to stay away from the woman since it could land him in trouble but he failed to listen to them.

Meanwhile, the married woman who was with the deceased, Stephen Akowuah, during the attack was not harmed by the unknown assailants who came on a motorbike neither did the suspects take anything from the room nor rob anyone in the 9-room compound House.

Police received a distress call and responded accordingly where the caller directed them to the deceased’s apartment. Upon arrival, the police were informed that three heavily built men stormed the residence and shot the deceased without any provocation, and stormed other rooms to rob other tenants of their mobile phones and various sums of money.

A tenant was also hit on the head, injuring him in the process. The injured has been sent to the hospital for medical assistance while the deceased is deposited at the Police Hospital Morgue for preservation and autopsy.
