Blogger themes: How to customize and upload downloaded blogger themes templates - getviewupdates

Blogger Templates offers a wide range, is easy to use, and has outstanding website support, you can use the built-in template designs with Google Blogger or install a template from an external source.

If you discover any links in the downloaded template that you do not want on your site, you may either delete them or pick a different template.

Steps on how to install a Blogger template or theme you downloaded:

1)  Log in to Blogger, and on your Blogger Dashboard, click the THEME

2)  Click the Edit HTML tab.

3)  Click the Upload to select the downloaded theme for the installation 

If the Theme is on a Zip file you need to Unzip it before selecting for installation then navigate to where you saved the theme on your computer, and click the one that ends in XML extension.

4)  Click on Open to install the blogger theme.

When the upload is complete, you get a message at the top/bottom of the page that says Your Changes Have Been Saved. then Click the View Blog button to ensure that your blog looks the way you want it to look.

The most recent version of Blogger may not be compatible with certain free Blogger layouts available on the internet. If you do this, you'll have to either find an extremely smart individual who can change XML or find another template to upload! The backup template can also be reloaded, or the template designer can be used.

As a professional blogger, you may need to make some changes in themes installed or make use of Blogger gadgets, also known as widgets.

Follow these steps to change or customize your default template using Blogger's Template Designer:

1)  Go to your Blogger Dashboard and click on Theme 

2)  Click on Customize

On the bottom side of the screen, scroll through the available template designs and select various thumbnails to sample the theme on your blog. There are more options here than there were when you originally set up your blog. Each template style also includes a variety of color palettes.

3)  Click the Advance or Adjust Widths option and use the sliders to modify the widths of the Entire Blog and the Right Sidebar.

Keep the width of your Entire Blog at or below 930 pixels for best browser compatibility. If you wish to include advertising in your sidebar, make sure the Right Sidebar is at least 300 pixels wide.

4)  Select your blog layout by clicking the Layout tab.

Blogger provides various pre-defined layouts from which to pick. These affect how many sidebars you have, where they appear, and how many parts you want in your blog footer.

5)  Click the Save button at the bottom right.

Your changes are now live on your blog.
