1 minute read

Governor Hope Uzodinma has come beneath fire taking after his state broadcast on April 27, to the individuals of the state to commemorate his administration’s 100 days in office. Kicking against a few of the claims of the Governor within the broadcast, former Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Uche Onyeagucha, said that Uzodinma “raised issues that were lamentably tinged with implicit and explicit fallacies, misconceptions and deceits aimed at either to usurp or refute the uncommon accomplishments and profound footprints of the short-lived People’s Democratic Party (PDP) government and Rebuild Imo Administration headed by Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.

“This unfortunate development is viewed by the Rebuild Imo Team and the vast majority with worry and resentment thereby necessitating this response desirable to set the record straight to ensure that truth prevails.

Prior to the Supreme Court judgement in his favour, there were doubts over the possibilities of Uzodinma making a good governor because of misconceptions and campaign of calumny being peddled by fifth columnist. As the governor set to mark his 100 days in office, it is gladdening to know that the perception index about him has moved from slow to speed lane despite the entire drama and distractions from the review appeal by the ousted governor Emeka Ihedioha and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The Supreme Court judgement and the recent perception of him as a governor has made him a saint, judging from his initial carriage, comportment, administrative style, quick response mechanism and his willingness to work with structures or foundation laid by the former administration. Governor Hope Uzodimma has proved that truly, the taste of the pudding is in the eating.
