THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GET SUCCESSFUL

Some time ago, I made up my mind to stop writing articles on topics such as, “success principles, how to be successful, keys to success,” etc., because I realized that topics like that are way too broad to make a generalization on and this thing we know as success means different things to different people, but at most is a journey with no definite destination.

You only know you’ve arrived in yours based on what it means to you or maybe when you take your last breath, then we’ll judge based on what we understood.

However, after experiencing small success in some areas of my life and reading stories of other people’s success, I’m going to break my Head Corrector’s Code and share these evils I have discovered are associated with success. 

I’m sharing them because I want you to make up your mind to guard against them before you achieve that breakthrough you’re working hard for.

A recognized problem leads to a working strategy, you know.

I’m almost 100 percent sure that you have not thought about or even recognized that success, as you see it in the lives of others, isn’t all there is. 

There are two shades to success: the good and the bad. It is this bad part that I’m going to quickly address. The first evil in success is PRIDE.

As funny as it is, each time this issue is raised, people kick against it telling you something like, “not all successful people are proud,” but the game changes when they become successful. 

The thing is, every human being has the ability to chest-hit when they’ve attained a certain uncommon level and dwelling in that euphoria doesn’t cut across as bad right? But what happens when it becomes excessive? This is where you need to guide your mind with all diligence.

Successful people who are humble are that way because they recognized this pitfall earlier and took concrete steps to fortify themselves with humility. 

Before you get successful, map out humility thought patterns that would help you not get lost in the desert of success. If you don’t, you’ll drown in people’s praises, choke in admiration and get your head blown away by compliments!

Please note that humility isn’t an excuse to shy away from the limelight. There’s nothing inspiring about shrinking yourself so that other people won’t feel uncomfortable around you. By all means, promote yourself. With sense.
